General Ella’s Ultraliner Division was recently established to enhance our ability to meet all the needs of our Utility Division clients. Operating under the close supervision of partner Joe Gannon, this division will focus on the rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewer, water, and storm drain systems with the minimal disruption of surface improvements, the traveling public and area businesses. Sanitary Sewer and Storm Drain Rehabilitation Employing the unique capabilities of Ella, the Ultraliner system and the Tro-Lining system, this division will set the standard for trenchless gravity flow pipe rehabilitation in Texas. As the sole license holder for the proprietary PVC alloy lining products in Texas, Ella will be employing the “better mousetrap” when it comes to completing projects that require the highest quality finished product and the least impact on the public. One of the defining characteristics of the Ultraliner system is that it can be removed from and reinserted in the host pipe should conditions warrant. This division will enhance Ella’s ability to meet and exceed the needs of the areas most demanding clients and projects. Water Main Rehabilitation Another feature that sets the Ultraliner system apart from the competition is its unique ability to rehabilitate pressure pipe systems. Given the fact that the liner can be inserted through bends in the host pipe and that liners can be produced as small as 3” in diameter, the applications for pressure system rehabilitation projects cover a wide spectrum. Coupled with Ella’s experience in traditional pressure pipe installations, this division will be capable of rehabilitating pressure systems in whatever manner the project demands to best suit a client’s needs. We are happy to review plans in progress and provide comments regarding constructability to the design staff. Once plans are in sufficient form, we will prepare conservative “pro-forma’ cost proposals to enable our clients to secure financing or prepare budgets. If plans have been previously prepared, we can suggest value-engineering items that will save the client time or money and in most cases, both. During construction, our field personnel will coordinate with the client’s other contractors and constantly analyze the project in the hopes of providing suggestions that will enhance not only our performance, but that of the project as a whole. We will have in attendance at all jobsite meetings a representative who is capable of making decisions on behalf of Ella and ensuring that promises made are fulfilled.
