| General Ella’s Utility Division is the mainstay of our business. From its’ first $3500 project in San Antonio over twelve years ago, to the recently completed $10 million dollar site utility project to serve the Shops at La Cantera this division has shaped the growth of Ella S.A. Contracting. Subcontract Work Working as a specialty trade subcontractor and through strict adherence to Ella’s Core Values, this division has set the standard for commercial site utility construction in the South Central Texas Region. Having completed such high profile projects as “The Shops at La Cantera” for the national firm of The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co., the “AT&T Center” for the World Champion San Antonio Spurs and the “Westover Marketplace” for nationally recognized EMJ Corporation, this division has established Ella’s ability to meet and exceed the needs of the very demanding clients of the large-scale retail and entertainment construction market. While onsite, typically we are the “critical path”. Meeting our clients needs as dictated by fast-track schedules, multiple plan revisions and drop dead milestones have instilled a discipline that is carried over into Ella as a whole. General Contract Work Working as a general contractor, this division has the capacity to meet not only the strict completion schedules for residential utility projects, but also the demands of public works improvement contracts. Ella has performed work directly for all of the San Antonio area public works entities. In this non- negotiable arena of public scrutiny, Ella developed the discipline to maintain bonding capacity and liability insurance levels to meet the demands of any client, public or private. Capabilities This division has the capability to furnish and install the following underground utilities: 1. Public and Private Storm Drainage Facilities 2. Public and Private Wastewater Systems 3. Public Water Mains and Services 4. Private Domestic Water Systems 5. Private Underground Fire Mains and Services 6. Irrigation Services 7. Conduit Banks for Communication and/or Power 8. Small Diameter Gas Mains and Services Services Ella is prepared to assist our clients during any stage of design and/or construction. We are happy to review plans in progress and provide comments regarding constructability to the design staff. Once plans are in sufficient form, we will prepare conservative “pro-forma’ cost proposals to enable our clients to secure financing or prepare budgets. If plans have been previously prepared, we can suggest value- engineering items that will save the client time or money and in most cases, both. During construction, our field personnel will coordinate with the client’s other contractors and constantly analyze the project in the hopes of providing suggestions that will enhance not only our performance, but that of the project as a whole. We will have in attendance at all jobsite meetings a representative who is capable of making decisions on behalf of Ella and ensuring that promises made are fulfilled.
